While Reebok worldwide receives the financial backing of the strong adidas organization, Reebok in SA is an independent distributor backed by local resources – yet, the revamped store recently re-opened in Canal Walk is on par with any Reebok store you might see any other place in the world. The store was opened shortly before the T20 Cricket World Cup, where Reebok was official sponsor, apart from kitting out several teams, including SA’s Proteas. Prior to that the local Reebok office were kept busy catering to the whims and needs of the four teams they sponsored when the IPL T20 Tournament moved to SA at short notice, establishing Reebok as a cricket clothing supplier of note.
